About the Exhibition

Vol.2 is on display January 10-31 2009 in Berlin Mitte | Germany.

T.A.O.M.A.C. - The Art of Manipulating a Curator - is an exhibition-series that presents international art projects, which are done under the following condition:

THE ARTISTS MUST GET THE CURATOR INVOLVED IN THEIR ART.

"The word 'MANIPULATING' in this concept can also be seen as a synonym of 'using'. The word is interpreted differently by each artist. As a model, as a performance collaborator, as reflective mirror, as a stranger or even as a tool or an object. The mix-up of the roles between curator and artists challenges both of them, which forces them to explore the true part of their personalities and the desire of art-making. At the same time it leads people to mentally participate in introspecting of finding new definitions."
