Abstract from the Call for Works


Multimedia productions overflow the market and it is high time, to demand quality and not quantity. On the occasion of the congress fair komm 97, an international jury will meet on September 11, 1997 in Düsseldorf in order to separate the good from the best and to award these ideas and toils with the gold, silver and bronze Rheingold Awards.

The Jury


The jury of the Rheingold Awards isn't impressed by names or budgets, but rather by innovative design strategies, that are media compatible, exciting and user-friendly. This task was assigned to:

Award Ceremony


The presentation of the Rheingold Awards was on Friday September 12, 1997 in the form of a party, which was broadcasted live on the WDR's (a German TV network) "happy hour". Ger Ger was unable to be in attendance.

During komm 97, the premiered works were presented in the Multimedia Center The Garden, Rathausufer 8.
