About the Award

Ger Ger was named winner of the annual PDN competition The Look '15 in the category Runway. Photo District News (or PDN) is an American monthly trade publication for professional photographers. PDN was first published in 1980.

Mickey Boardman is the editorial director of PAPER magazine. His writing has also appeared in T: The New York Times Style Magazine, Out and German Vogue. He often appears as a cultural commentator, lifestyle expert and fashion guru on networks like VH-1, A & E, CNN, E! and Fox News. He has been recognized by New York magazine as one of the "Most Photographed Faces in New York" for his presence on the city's social and fashion scene.

Emily Shornick is the photo editor of New York magazine's The Cut. She was integral to the brand's 2012 relaunch and its transition to a multi-platform publication in 2014. Her work has been honored in American Photo 29, American Photo 30 and the 2014 and 2015 PDN Photo Annuals, and she sits on the board of the American Society of Picture Professionals' New York chapter.

Dayna Carney is a photo producer at Management Artists. Originally from Chicago, she graduated from Syracuse University and has lived in Brooklyn, New York, for the past five years. She previously served as a junior producer at Atelier Management.

Stephen Frailey is the founder and editor-in-chief of Dear Dave and the co-chair of the MPS fashion photography program at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. He has received two MacDowell Colony Fellowships, a National Endowment for the Arts Grant and an Aaron Siskind Foundation Grant. In 2003, he founded the Auction for Photographic Education in Afghanistan to create a photography department at Kabul University. He is also the co-founder of the Art+Commerce Festival in New York City.

Melissa Rodwell is a fashion photographer and educator who has worked around the world, photographing for clients such as Nike and Ralph Lauren, and shooting editorial stories for FLAUNT, Harpers Bazaar, JIMON and Kurv magazines, among others. Rodwell teaches workshops for fashion photographers in New York City, Los Angeles and Sydney and is the founder of jointhebreed.com and The Breed Academy, dedicated to educating fashion photographers, stylists, models and more.
